Sweetness of Salah - Gift from Allah by Shiekh Omar Suleiman
Asalamu Alaykum!
The first video I'm sharing with you is the video titled Sweetness of Salah - Gift from Allah by Sheikh Omar Suleiman. Listening to this short, yet inspiring video I think to myself, why is prayer a gift? It is a gift for it is a connection to Allah swt. Prayer is a direct channel. It is a connection between you and Allah. When you are in sujood, that is your opportunity to talk to Allah. Open your heart to Him, vent to Him, thank Him, tell Him all of your wants and needs.
My sideline takeaway: We already know that Allah swt has named himself Al-Mujeeb (The Responsive), for he is the One that answers the calls. Use your salah on good days and on bad days to connect to Allah. Talk to Him as if He was right in front of you listening to your needs and your gratitude. Just always keep in mind that not everything we ask for will be given to us, for we may want something which is not good for us and we may dislike something which is good for us, but in the end Allah swt knows best and guides whom He wishes.
